Openings in Fairfax, Virginia

Vision Point Systems is currently seeking qualified candidates for an engineering position in its Fairfax, VA office. VPS is seeking individuals with working experience supporting US Navy and/or US Marine Corps programs; Technical expertise in materials engineering, corrosion, coatings, and vehicle platforms is desired. Experience with data analysis and statistics is a plus. Education: BS Engineering.

Junior Software Engineer

The engineer will join the software development team on various commercial and government projects. Typical technologies include Web Applications and Computer Telephony Software development. The Developer will be exposed to many different platforms and languages, and multitasking will be required.

Applicant should have some prior professional experience in developing software applications or have relevant software development coursework. Applicant must demonstrate competence in software engineering principles. Education: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Information Technology.

U.S. Citizenship or permanent alien status required. Some travel will be required.

Openings in Central New Jersey

There is currently one opening at our central New Jersey location:

Lead Systems Analyst

The Lead Systems Analyst will be the primary point of contact for end users to report problems, desires for new features or ask questions about existing functionality. He or she will be responsible for system configuration changes and documentation in a closely monitored environment. We expect a proactive approach to preventing problems and anticipating future needs of customer. The Analyst will provide first line of support for analysis of problems by looking through system log files, packet sniffing, hands on testing, etc and will act as liason between development team and customer. This includes taking a lead on assisting the customer with acceptance testing, prioritizing importance of ongoing software development, and release management.

The ideal applicant will have ability and experience in Pega PRPC development and configuration, Avaya phone system maintenance and administration, Genesys Voice Platform 7, and call center operations. The applicant must hold a BA or BS from 4 year institution, be a permanent US resident and have 5+ years of system support or development experience. Strong written and verbal English communications skills are a must.
